On Tuesday, 17 June, the ceremony of “ took place at the Piazzale Italo Balbo of Palazzo Aeronautica in Rome.“Handover” of the Management Support of Senior Bodies (COMSEV) between Brigadier General Massimo Cicerone, outgoing, and the Colonel Antonio Pellegrino. The change of command was presided over by Air Marshal Achille Cazzaniga, Commander of the Air Force Command of Rome (COMAER), and saw the participation of many military authorities and numerous guests, attesting to the fundamental technical-logistical support that COMSEV guarantees to the entire Palazzo Aeronautica complex.
In the farewell speech, General Cicero he expressed, with great humility and sincere gratitude, his appreciation “for the tireless support and unwavering affection received during my term” and highlighted how COMSEV is “a unique and special entity, often unseen but essential, driven by the dedication and expertise of the men and women of COMSEV, without whom it would not have been possible to successfully achieve prestigious objectives.”
It Colonel Pellegrino, new helmsman of COMSEV, has expressed his “Deep gratitude to General Cicerone for his enlightened and sagacious guidance”He also reiterated his “commitment to carrying forward the important legacy of my predecessor, emphasising the importance of seriousness, duty, cohesion, and mutual respect in overcoming future challenges. He finally praised the COMSEV staff for their commitment and sense of belonging, promising his unconditional support and firm but fair guidance.
It Air Squadron General Cazzaniga, in his speech, praised the extraordinary work carried out by General Cicerone and all the COMSEV personnel, highlighting how the results achieved are the fruit of silent and concrete work. He expressed full confidence in Colonel Pellegrino, recognising his abilities and motivation, and urged the entire Department to continue working with commitment and passion in the service of the country.
In conclusion, he expressed his pride in the work carried out by COMSEV and his gratitude for their service, stating: “Be proud of what you have achieved over these years and how you have achieved it, because we are proud of you.“Words that sealed the handover, opening a new chapter for the Command of Apex Bodies Support under the command of Colonel Pellegrino.
