A two-month-old baby, in imminent danger of death, has been urgently transported from Alghero to Ciampino on board an F50 aircraft of the Italian Air Force's 31st Wing.

The life-saving flight concluded at 18:10 local time. The young patient required urgent transfer from the University Hospital of Sassari to the “Bambino Gesù” Paediatric Hospital in Rome.

After completing all the necessary procedures, the aircraft took off from Ciampino Airport, landing in Alghero at 16:35 local time. Here the child was immediately boarded. After landing at Ciampino Airport, which occurred at 18:10 local time, an ambulance headed for the “Bambino Gesù” Paediatric Hospital in Rome for subsequent admission.
