THE PILOT’S BODY FOUND. A Eurofighter aircraft of the Experimental Flight Department of the Italian Air Force crashed into the sea during the final phase of its flight program. The causes of the accident are still unknown. The pilot’s body was found just a few minutes ago. Rescue operations began immediately after the impact thanks to the rescue vehicles present on the scene.
The Air Force has activated procedures to ascertain the causes of the incident. The Minister of Defense, Senator Roberta Pinotti and the Chief of Staff of the Defense, General Claudio Graziano, join the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Force General Enzo Vecciarelli, in expressing their closeness and condolences to the family and the people closest to the young pilot.
