The future maintainers of the Air Force visit the Capua facilities On October 26, a delegation of Italian and foreign participants in the course for maintenance technicians in support of personnel from the Air Force and other Armed Forces and Armed Bodies of the State accompanied the Commander of the Caserta Institute, Col. Nicola Gigante, and his staff, and the President of the Arma Aeronautica Association – Caserta Section, on a visit to the Capua facilities of Tecnam to learn about the activities carried out at the company founded by the Pascale brothers, who built their first aircraft in 1948.

The delegation visited the production facilities and hangars where the aircraft are assembled, which, even when taking off from Capua, reach the flight schools around the world. Particular curiosity was aroused by the Pascale museum, with documents, photographs and vintage aircraft, perfectly restored by the Tecnam staff.

For the participants of the School of Specialists, the day was an opportunity to deepen their understanding of their specific role in the future employment sector within the Air Force or Armed Forces or Corps departments of their origin.

The visit is part of the broader project promoted by Forza Armata, which systematically promotes dialogue between the Air Force, the business world, academia, and civil society to ensure continuous training. It is only the first step in a more intense collaboration to develop synergistic activities between two entities that share the same passion and culture of flying in the Caserta area.
The passion for flight animates the entire Tecnam team, which, inspired by Professor Luigi Pascale, has led to the creation in recent years of some of the most innovative and elegant aircraft in the world.
Tecnam was founded by the Neapolitan brothers Luigi and Giovanni Pascale, who, at the end of the Second World War in 1948, built their first aircraft in a laboratory in their home. Since then they have continued to design and build original models, gaining worldwide fame with the brand Partenavia, and since 1986 with the TECNAM brand. The factories are based in Capua (CE) and Casoria (NA), with commercial offices in Florida, USA, and Australia.
The Scuola Specialisti is a military institute for the training of initial basic education, specialized technical training, instruction, refresher training, specialization, qualification and retraining of personnel of the Aeronautica Militare, the Other Armed Forces, Armed Corps and non-State entities, as well as personnel of foreign Armed Forces. It is hierarchically subordinate to the Command of the Scuola A.M./3rd Air Region of Bari.
