The Officers of the Turbine III Course gathered at Cameri Airport. On Thursday, September 20, the gathering of the Officers, led by Air Squadron General Giovanni Fantuzzi, of the regular course of the Aeronautical Academy Turbine III took place at Cameri Airport.
The gathering saw Officers, both in service and retired, from various parts of Italy, come together with their families to reunite and recall old anecdotes and relive the experiences they lived through: from the early days of the Academy, to their operational life spent in the flight departments, to the more recent and challenging events.
To meet again to remember together the emotions and sensations experienced in the moments when we first meet to begin a common life experience, and those in which we realized that the relationships among colleagues had strengthened ever more, such as the sense of belonging to the Blue Army, transforming some unknown young people into friends and true brothers.
To enrich this meeting, organized between the visit to the airport, the 1st Aircraft Maintenance Department and the FACO F35 in Cameri, and moments of conviviality, were the presence of the families of the guests.
The program of the gathering was intense; after meeting, the participants began their visit to the Cameri base with an informative briefing given by Colonel Pierpaolo Traverso, Head of the Multi-Purpose Aircraft Aerotactic Center (Ce.Po.V.A.). The visit then continued at the 1st R.M.V., where the gatherers were able to view the main hangar for the maintenance of the Eurofighter and Tornado aircraft and the other facilities of the agency.
The visit then concluded at FACO F-35 where the attendees were able to appreciate the innovative infrastructure dedicated to the assembly of the full wings and the entire aircraft, as well as the structure dedicated to low-visibility painting.
The day concluded with a convivial moment for the participants held at the Officers' Club in the logistics area of Veveri. The Center for Multifunctional Aerotactic Aircraft (Ce.Po.V.A.) was established on the airfield in Cameri on July 23, 2012 and is under the command of the 2nd Division of the A.M. Logistics Command.
The Ce.Po.V.A., from which the 1st Aircraft Maintenance Department and the Airport Command depend, represents the main engineering, maintenance and logistical hub of the Air Force for high-performance “fast jet” aircraft.
