In Caserta, experts from all the bodies of the AM Schools Command/3rd Air Region convened to discuss the most current topics. The Caserta Specialists School hosted the 2nd Meeting of the AM Schools Command/3rd Air Region bodies on human resource management and, in particular, on civilian personnel within the Defence Administration.
The event took place on 12 and 13 September, with Colonel Francesco Turrisi, Head of the Personnel Office of the Schools Command, and all the civilian and military managers responsible for the legal and administrative management of civilian personnel of the Command’s bodies in attendance. This was the second opportunity for reflection on the new dynamics of the regulatory context and for shared growth, following a similar meeting held last year at the Air Force Academy in Pozzuoli. Over the two days of discussion, the assembled experts focused particularly on the provisions of the new civilian personnel employment contract and, from a prospective and project-based perspective, on revitalising administrative action. This involved a shared reflection on human resource management, seeking more ambitious performance objectives, and acknowledging the importance of continuous training and self-training processes at all levels. At the end of the meeting, participants visited the infrastructure of the Specialist School, paying particular attention to areas directly used by personnel in training, such as the multimedia classrooms and teaching laboratories. These included facilities in the historic area of the Royal Palace of Caserta and the Multifunctional Centre, which is a cutting-edge new teaching area that, little known to most, presents itself as a veritable university campus. The meeting aligns with the Specialist School's vision of striving for excellence in the training of specialist personnel for the Armed Forces and the Defence and Security Sector, who, with passion, ethical values, and a spirit of corps, contribute to enhancing the available human resources in full synergy with civilian institutions.
The School of Specialists is a military educational institute for initial basic training, specialist technical training, instruction, updating, specialisation, qualification, and retraining of personnel from the Air Force, other Armed Forces, State Armed Corps, as well as foreign personnel from foreign Armed Forces. It is hierarchically subordinate to the Command of Schools of the AM/3rd Air Region in Bari.
