The 4th Brigade collaborates in social activities in Latina Scalo on Friday, July 20th. At the 4th Brigade Telecommunications and Air Defense Systems and Flight Support Center in Borgo Piave, the second day dedicated to blood donation was held. For years, the 4th Brigade of Borgo Piave has been collaborating with the AVIS of Latina Scalo in blood donation; a collaboration that began in 2011 and sees the blood bank of the basic section “O. Barboni” in Latina Scalo “shove” the doors of the A.M. base commanded by Brigadier General Vincenzo Falzarano every year. In 2017, a total of 64 blood bags were collected, demonstrating that the military of the Navy possesses a very high civic sense that manifests itself in concrete ways, including supporting these types of initiatives. The first of the three collections planned for 2018 brought 23 bags of blood, a testament to the fruitful organizational work carried out by the two leaders of the Avis-Aeronautica Militare Brigade project, 1st Lieutenant Antonio De Vivo Crescenzo and Sergeant Carlo Pennacchio, as well as the significant support provided by the medical staff and the related nursing staff of the 4th Brigade. At the end of the day, the President of the local section, Oreste Barboni of Latina Scalo, Anna Maria Visco commented: ”...We are increasingly impressed every time we come to Borgo Piave by the availability shown to us and in this case we must thank all the women and men of the 4th Brigade for the welcome and collaboration offered, and General Falzarano for the great sensitivity shown in accepting and supporting the realization of this collection day.” A tangible demonstration to share those values of solidarity and respect for life that are characteristic of Avis.”.
