With the collaboration of the Lazio Regional Committee of the Italian Red Cross, a course was held for personnel from the Air Force and other Armed Forces and State Bodies. From September 17 to 21, the 99th course for Humanitarian International Law Operator was held at the Technical Center for Supply (CTR) in Fiumicino. The course was organized by the Technical Center for Supply in Fiumicino thanks to the collaboration of the Committee for the Dissemination of Humanitarian International Law (D.I.U.) and the Italian Red Cross Military Corps. The speakers addressed topics related to the D.I.U., introducing notions that are essential for use in Operations Outside National Borders, useful for addressing the delicate current issues of international reception. Thanks to the availability of the Italian Red Cross, topics of particular relevance were addressed, from the identification of legitimate and illegitimate combatants to the protection of wounded and medical personnel, to the definition of refugees, to the protection of the civilian population and cultural heritage. The Technical Supply Center provided logistical and organizational support for the success of the course. The closing ceremony took place in the presence of the Commander of the CTR, Colonel Roberto Palmisano, who in his final speech emphasized the absolute value of this activity for the training of military personnel. The Commander then handed out certificates of participation to the participating personnel and thanked the Italian Red Cross for its collaboration and professionalism in dealing with topics of such vast interest. The Technical Equipment Center, under the responsibility of the Support Service, ensures the acquisition, supply and management of equipment, materials and vehicles in the fields of motorization, automotive and aircraft lubricants and aviation oxygen, chemical/physical controls, fire prevention, CBRN, photographic and typographic controls, providing technical, logistical and customs assistance to the agencies and departments of the entire Armed Forces.
