The familiarization visits took place at the logistical and operational areas of the Brindisi Air Detachment, the Group Rifornimenti Area Sud (GRAS) of Francavilla Fontana, the 134th Remote Radar Squadron and the A.M. Detachment of Lampedusa. The Chief of Logistics, Air Force General Giovanni Fantuzzi, carried out, in August, several familiarization visits to the logistics and operational areas of the Armed Forces’ agencies and departments. Among these, the visit on Wednesday 8 August to the Brindisi Airfield Detachment and to the Southern Area Supply Group (GRAS) in Francavilla Fontana, and a subsequent visit on Monday 13 August to the 134th Remote Radar Squadron and the A.M. Detachment of Lampedusa. The Logistic Commander subsequently met with all the personnel, expressing “the pride of having found a cohesive, motivated and effective team that passionately carries out the mission assigned to it, even in difficult conditions and with an admirable spirit of unity.”.
