Finanza Police personnel in Guidonia to learn how to use, for interpretative purposes, remotely sensed images of the territory SThe 3rd edition of the Course has concluded at the Scuola di Aerocooperazione in Guidonia. Remote Sensing Dedicated to the Security Department, it was specifically designed and built by the Telerilevamento Courses Command of the Inter-Forces Institute in Guidonia (RM).
This edition was attended by 6 members of the command of the Guardia di Finanza stationed at the Esplorazione Aeromaritima Group in Pratica di Mare.
The purpose of the course was to provide law enforcement personnel with the ability to process and manage, at a basic level, remotely sensed images, with particular reference to digital data derived from different types of aerial or satellite sensors, and to introduce the audience to techniques for reading the territory through the acquired data.
The residential activity was enhanced by additional conferences held by instructors from the Guardia di Finanza who presented and discussed specific “Case Studies” representative of the specific scenarios in which the newly qualified personnel will be called upon to operate.
