ABU DHABI: THE HEAD OF THE MILITARY AERONAUTICS STATE AT THE UMEX 2018

General Vecciarelli met the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates at the Unmanned Systems Exhibition on Monday, February 26. He was accompanied by a delegation of collaborators; he visited the “Unmanned Systems Exhibition & Conference”, an exhibition organized by the ADNEC group (Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre). The event includes a series of conferences and “live” demonstrations dedicated to the technology of “unmanned” systems (i.e., controlled remotely), flexible-use aircraft equipped with various devices designed to perform various tasks and functions in the civilian and military sectors. At the UMEX, now in its second edition (the previous one took place in 2016), numerous important industrial companies and representatives of government agencies from around the world participate (http://www.umexabudhabi.ae/welcome). The exhibition takes place concurrently with the parallel SimTex, dedicated to the aspects of Simulation & Training. During his visit to the exhibition, General Vecciarelli met with H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, with whom, after the customary courtesies, they cordially exchanged expressions of closeness and confirmed the intention to continue the fruitful cooperation between the two countries.
