The Air Task Force deployed in Al Salem commemorated the important anniversary of the A.M. from the Kuwait Desert. The military of the Air Task Force (TFA), deployed at the base in Al Salem in the Kuwait Desert and part of the anti-Daesh operation, celebrated the 95th anniversary of the Air Force.
After the solemn ceremony of the Flag-raising, the Commander of the TFA wanted to emphasize the importance of the service that the Armed Forces are called to perform daily in Italy and around the world for 95 years, with professionalism, competence and dedication, always keeping pace with the times in a continuous process of evolution and improvement, to protect the Italians and for international security. The military, after the ceremony, immediately returned to their workplace to continue their service.
Established on October 17, 2014 as part of the national operation “Prima Parthica” and the multinational “Inherent Resolve”, the TFA-Kuwait ensures the unique command and the synergistic and coordinated use of the KC 767A, Predator and AMX flight assets.
The mission is to meet the flight refueling needs of the coalition aircraft and to contribute to the definition of Situation Awareness (ISR) as a necessary and important contribution in the fight against Daesh terrorism. The TFA, in fact, through the Intelligence Integrated Multisensor Exploitation Cell (I2MEC), is able to leverage high-quality aerial images that are then provided to the coalition in the form of analysis.
