The Officer succeeds Colonel Ugo Cieri
At Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, the ceremony of Change of command at the Joint Support Administrative Centre – Kuwait (CAI-I) between the Colonel Ugo Cieri and the page Sabrina Rispoli.
The ceremony, presided over by the Commander of’Comando Nazionale Italiano Aria / Task Force Aria Kuwait (IT NCC Air/TFA K), Colonel Matteo Zuliani, it took place in the presence of some guests and a large representation of the Italian contingent.
In his farewell speech, the Colonel Cieri he/she/they expressed sincere thanks to all the staff of CAI-I, for making their best energies and best conceptual elaboration available in their daily work.“Teamwork, he then said, is always the best strategy for achieving ambitious results, and we, thanks to your constant commitment and spirit of sacrifice, have proudly achieved several. I have had the privilege of working with highly motivated and competent staff, extraordinary from a human perspective. I will cherish this human and professional experience among my most cherished memories.”.
The change in the Directorship of the CAI-I was formalised with the passing of the banner, from the hands of the outgoing Director to those of his successor.
It Colonel Rispoli, in his/her inauguration speech, thanked the superior authorities for the trust placed in him/her by conferring the prestigious role and expressed his/her full enthusiasm for undertaking this new, challenging experience. Aware of inheriting a strong team of qualified and passionate professionals, he/she expressed the intention to continue on the path already laid out by his/her predecessors, with the utmost commitment, for the timely achievement of operational objectives, which are always a priority, in full accordance with the dictates of regulations.
It Colonel Zuliani, in his speech, with words of sincere appreciation thanked the Colonel Cieri for the work carried out at the helm of the CAI-I which, despite representing a numerically small reality, still manages to provide fundamental support, not only for the IT NCC Air but for all the national contingents present in the Theatres of Operations within its remit. The Commander of the IT NCC Air then concluded his speech, wishing good luck with the work to the Colonel Rispoli, highlighting how his appointment marks, in fact, a natural evolution in the leadership context of the Armed Forces, as, as is known, he is the first woman to take charge of an Interforce Intendance Administrative Centre.
It Joint Force Command Administrative Centre
The CAI-I Kuwait, under the IT NCC Air, is a unique operational, joint unit: a highly specialised area administrative centre, which guarantees administrative and accounting support to the Italian contingents engaged in Operation Prima Parthica/Inherent Resolve and other area operations, deployed in Kuwait, Iraq and Bahrain, Jordan with branches also in London and the United States.
The’Comando Nazionale Italiano Aria / Task Force Aria Kuwait, It was established on 17 October 2014 and placed under the operational command of the Joint Operations Command for national aspects. It participates in Operation Prima Parthica/Inherent Resolve as part of the international anti-ISIS Coalition, ensuring unity of command for the synergistic and coordinated deployment of assets provided and deployed in Kuwait and Iraq, engaged in ISR, AAR, Airlift, EW, Medevac, PED and logistical and administrative support activities.
