General Nuzzo hands over command to General Floreani The Institute of Military Aeronautics Sciences is a higher education institution for the training and dissemination of military aeronautical doctrines: it is governed by a General Officer and is subordinate to the Commander of the Schools of the Air Force/Commander of the 3rd Air Region. The ISMA is, in turn, subordinate to the Military Aeronautics School ’Giulio Douhet“, established in 2006. The mission of the Institute is therefore broad and diversified, also due to the specificities of the institutions and the Departments under its control. As a higher education institution, the ISMA is called upon to raise the general cultural, technical, scientific and professional level of the Officers of the Air Force, developing and perfecting their preparation in view of the directive and managerial tasks that will be entrusted to them in the course of their respective careers.
