13 promising athletes join the AM Sports Centre team

In the context of constant generational change among Italian Air Force athletes, Monday 17 June, a new echelon of 13 promises of sport He has joined the Italian Air Force Sports Centre. The athletes crossed the gates of the Historical and Sports Centre of the Italian Air Force at Vigna di Valle (Rome) and wore the Italian Air Force ceremonial uniform for the first time.

The young recruits were welcomed by Commander of CSSAM, Colonel Luigi Barbagallo, from Commander of the Sports Centre, Lt Col Giancarlo Sergi, and from the technical staff of the individual disciplines. In his welcome speech, Colonel Barbagallo placed emphasis on the “Responsibility that stems from your being athletes who proudly wear the national tricolour, from today there is also that which arises from being soldiers of the Air Force. Place your daily work, as athletes, at the service of the Country and the institution you represent, even before your personal goals. Be proud of it..”
