The 46th JMC took place in Aviano, a meeting between high-ranking military and civilian representatives to strengthen collaboration between the Air Force bases that host United States units. On November 17 and 18, 2021, at the Aviano Airport Command, the 46th Joint Military Commission(JMC), a meeting among high-ranking military and civilian representatives, both Italian and American, to review various issues concerning the Air Force bases that host United States units and to strengthen the collaboration between the two countries in this field.Lat the Base Aviano It is an Air Force airport named after “Pagliano e Gori”, heroic aviators of the First World War. The installation is under Italian command and hosts an important US Air Force unit. The mission assigned to the Aviano Air Base Command is to ensure national sovereignty, oversee the implementation of bilateral agreements related to the US presence, support the deployed units, supervise flight and operational activities, and ensure the defense of the Base.
