The HH139B from the 82nd CSAR Centre in Trapani intervened to put out a fire in the province of Palermo. Fourth intervention since Sunday. A crew of’82° CSA R Centre (Combat Search and Rescuein Trapani intervened from Wednesday morning, August 11, 2021, to stop the spread of a large Fire developed in the area ofGiardinello (PA).The 82nd Centre is one of the Departments of15th Wing of the Air Forcewhich guarantees, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, seamlessly, the search and rescue of flight crews in distress, also contributing to public utility activities such as the search for missing persons at sea or in mountains, the emergency medical transport of patients in life-threatening danger and the rescue of severely traumatised individuals, operating even in extreme weather conditions. From its establishment to the present day, the crews of the 15th Wing have saved approximately 7,500 people in life-threatening danger. Since 2018, the Department has acquired the capabilityAIB(Forest Firefighting) contributing to the prevention and fighting of fires inSicily.
