Tuesday 19th December, at the School of the Italian Air Force Marshals / Viterbo Airport Command, the Oath Ceremony was held individually for the attendees of the 24th Normal Course.

In the presence of the School Flag and the Commander of the Air Force NCO School and Viterbo Airport, Colonel Gianluca Spina, 86 new marshals, during a solemn ceremony, they confirmed their commitment of loyalty to the Fatherland, renewing, in individual form, the oath.

The individual oath represented the final commitment at the A.M. Marshals School for the attendees of the Elios II course that the following day they will be transferred to their work departments where, in addition to carrying out normal work activities, they will be called upon to complete their studies leading to a degree.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Colonel Spina congratulated the protagonists of the day, highlighting the value of this act by which the jurors have reaffirmed their Solemn commitment to the Homeland and free institutions; an act of loyalty that commits them, with discipline and honour, to fulfil all the duties inherent in the new status of Marshal, which they have just acquired.

The School of the Air Force Marshals / Viterbo Airport Command is subordinate to Command of the Air Force Schools and of the 3rd Air Region in Bari; the Department fulfils a dual mission: on the one hand, as a university-level institution, it is responsible for the military and moral training and specific professional instruction of Sergeants of the Marshal Role, as well as the refinement and updating of such training; on the other hand, as a military airport open to civil traffic, it provides technical-operational support, air traffic services, and force-protection activities at the Tommaso Fabbri airport.
