Attending the ceremony at the Experimental Flight Department of Pratica di Mare was the Logistics Commander, Air Chief Marshal Roberto Comelli.
Thursday 28 September, at hangar T346 of Sea Trial Experimental Flight Department, the handover took place between Inspector General Cristiano Bandini, outgoing Commander, and Brigadier General Roberto Lo Conte, incoming, to the command of the 2nd Division of the Logistic Command.
At the ceremony, attended by Logistics Commander, Air Squad General Roberto Comelli, numerous military authorities and a significant representation from the aeronautical industry participated. Among the personnel deployed were also the Commanders/Directors of the Bodies Dependent on the 2nd Division and their respective Sergeants' Mess Presidents.
It General Bandini, During his speech, he thanked General Comelli for the trust shown in him during his work and stressed how crucial it is to continue working, within the scope of logistical support for the Air Force's flight lines, to adhere to the incessant transformation and evolution of the Armed Force. This presupposes a further review of the logistical support models for the fleets to make them more efficient, effective, and sustainable. All of this cannot be separated from the increasing valorisation of personnel, the true asset of the Armed Force, who will need to be trained to be able to work utilising new technologies, such as augmented reality, big data, and Blockchain.
General Lo Conte, in turn, thanked the Logistic Commander for the trust placed in him by assigning him this important role. Taking command of the 2nd Division of the Logistic Command, the General Lo Conte, It is a matter of pride and great satisfaction; doing so at Pratica di Mare, in the Department that saw him take his first steps in the operational Air Force and that contributed decisively to his human and professional growth, colours this moment with memories and strong emotion. If the Air Force is proudly at the forefront in service of the country, both at home and around the world, he stated in the continuation of his speech, the 2nd Division must be, with renewed pride and unchanged dedication, at the service of the Air Force and its operational components.
General Comelli, during his speech, thanked General Bandini for the important and prestigious objectives achieved. He finally wished “good work” to General Lo Conte, whose undisputed professionalism he highlighted with wishes for him to achieve ever greater and more prestigious milestones.
In conclusion to his speech, General Comelli expressed his thanks to the men and women of the 2nd Division for the professionalism and competence shown in carrying out their duties.
