The Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet (aerospace nomenclature F-2000A) is the most advanced combat aircraft developed on the European continent, capable of offering wide-ranging operational capabilities and unparalleled effectiveness in the Air Defence sector.
The aircraft is part of the national alert service, guaranteed by Air Force units for Air Defence 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Within minutes, this service ensures fighter jets are scrambled to intercept and identify any suspicious air traffic detected by radar.
The Eurofighter, which has recently also acquired air-to-ground capabilities, is the result of industrial collaboration between Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Spain.
